 +Julyuint Leno was rated No. 1 when he left The Tonight Show.  How could he have only appealed to the much older generations if he had those kind of ratings?  Like Jay Leno said, one day Jimmy will be the old guy and some new younger guy (or even girl) will come to take over for Jimmy.  I still remember when Jay Leno was the new younger guy who replaced Johnny Carson back in 1992, people said Johnny was getting old and Johnny wanted to leave on his own terms and retired and never really went back to TV.   Hell even Carson was the kid at one time who took the role from Jack Paar back in 1962.  It happens.

 This is good, but I hated the recorded applause.

 It"s not ""on stock applause"", it"s the applause from the ppl in the studio audience. When they taped the this ep. they showed this cold opener to the studio audience before Jimmy came out to do the monologue and this was their reaction.

 This time i"ve appreciated. Nice job.

 why did the crowd scream so often? is that normal in american tv shows?
