Thought Dan said there wasn't going to be a GTA V PC video. Well, whatever. Dan really needs to upgrade his PC. I have a single GTX 970 and I'm able to have the highest settings on almost everything, including the pedestrian amount and variety with no issues in framerate.

Not sold on this. After so long working on it those bugs were just inexcusable. Awful... not really. But after so much hype and time I expect more than just O.K.I don't know why but G.T.A just doesn't sit well with me at the moment. It's good, great even... but I think it's got something to do with the salivating appraisal when all I can think is that I have played many a open world game that are quite frankly better. I'll be honest guys; Saints Row 3 was more FUN than GTA5. Better? Almost certainly not... but I enjoyed it more. You should not be able to say that about a game which is so revered.

I've maxed everything out that my GPU will allow me (GTX 750Ti 2GB) and it looks fantastic. Only issue is my CPU isn't great, so I don't get stable 60fps :(

My copy is stored on my HDD, and I use my HDD to record to... Writing data while trying to load chunks of the game really kills your framerate. I needed to slow way down, I was rushing things xD

Dafuq man texture quality is like the main thing to make your game look good. Turn down the advanced settings and have everything else maxed, that should be fine for most medium-high range specs. For me, with a gtx 970 I get 60 with these settings.

+Lemon Tree 3x 680's aren't exactly better than one 970, no. The 680's are built completely differently, SLI can only get you so far performance-wise.

Its worth to drop a few hundred and get new graphics card. Turning this crap to normal you might as well just go play console. If you can get high across the board, it's awesome. Very high is nice, but even some SLI set ups have issues with it.

High/very high should be fine for you at a healthy 45-60 fps. I would put MSAA at only 2x because that shit eats VRAM. Mess around with draw distance/distance scaling and population variety to get a sweet-spot.

It depends on your system. If you have 12GB of Vram, obviously. But I think he has 2GB or something of Vram, so it probably has a bigger impact.

+FireShadowz99 I find getting out of cover, shooting and getting back into cover is a bit clunky. Right click, you pop out of cover, finish shooting, and then you have to right click to go back into cover. Pretty sure it wasn't like that in the PS3 version.

+FireShadowz99 It's personal preference, dude.  I personally wouldn't touch GTA V on PC if I didn't have the option to use my 360 controller.

With Graphics in games, i tend to just push it as far as i can before it lags/gets terrible, unsmooth fps. I got the game upto mostly max with 50-60fps with my 960, but because mines only got 2gb, i can't have extended render distance, other stuff, but i do use more than 2gb and don't get really any lag spikes until i play it for 6 hours straight, but i just reboot the game.

Im surprised at how my CPU holds out on the game,its a fairly odd chip, an old phenom II, clocked at the stock 2.8ghz across the 6 core, and it seems to handle all the cpu intensive settings at their max. I just wish the 4gb gtx 960 supersc from evga came out before i got my 2gb one, then i'd be comfortably running at max

+PixelPacker Plays Turning down grass quality and reflection MSAA also helps a ton. Grass quality tanks your framerate in off-road areas and reflection MSAA isn't at all noticeable unless you aren't already using AA.

Your probably doing the smart thing by not playing it as much online on the PC due to future ruining of these online modders/hackers/cheaters :/

+Filthy Flamingo Well online mode is still a little unstable (People being kicked from lobbies or getting moved to single player even though everyone on the server is still fine) and people have been getting a few graphical bugs but apart from that it's pretty good. That should clear up over the next few weeks anyway as they release new patches.
